MISSION

Georgia Central University's stated mission is to educate global leaders with biblical principles in order to serve at every level of society, from local church to international business. Online Learning will advance this mission by extending reach to potential students who are otherwise not able to participate in the degree programs offered in traditional ways and enabling them to have quality education wherever they are, through the online delivery system and the hybrid combined with the local organization system.


PROGRAMS

Online Learning offers online or hybrid courses for the Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral degree programs of the University as well as for the General Education courses. It assures that each online or hybrid course will meet the program learning outcomes as defined in the GCU Catalog.

ACCREDITATION


GCU is authorized to offer online instruction in the State of Georgia by the Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission (GNPEC). The GCU Planning Department keeps tabs on distance education requirements for other States, and when instruction in additional States becomes necessary, will comply with any and all State regulations regarding distance education. The same is true of any overseas instruction. GCU online learning program is also approved by the Association of Theological Schools (ATS) for the School of Christianity and the School of Divinity.


Georgia Central University holds applicant status with the Association for Biblical Higher Education Commission on Accreditation, located at 5850 T. G. Lee Blvd., Ste. 130, Orlando, Florida, 32822, (407) 207-0808. Applicant status is a pre-membership status granted to those institutions that meet the ABHE Conditions of Eligibility and that possess such qualities as may provide a basis for achieving candidate status within five years.
