The Computer Lab, located on the second floor, can be used only by constituents of the Georgia Central University, including current students, staff and faculty. (The Lab is not open for public)
Academic work by current GCU students takes precedence over all other uses of the lab, including but not limited to non-academic games, chatting, email, or web surfing, A user engaged in non-academic activity may be asked to give up his/her computer to allow another user to carry out normal academic work.
Please do not leave your personal belongings unattended. The University and its employees are not responsible for lost, stolen, or moved items. It is your responsibility to keep your own property safe and secure.
Please do not install software on lab computers at any time. If you need software/program for academic purposes, please talk to a staff at office (Information Technology System) to find out the appropriate procedure for having it installed. Also, Users may not modify or delete computer settings, wallpapers, or install applications on Lab computers.
Please turn off any telecommunication devices including cellular phones.
Please do not print multiple copies using Lab printers. And do not put special paper into paper trays of the lab printers. You can use only letter size papers. (Ask attendant as problems occur)
Keep our Computer Lab clean. Please dispose of your own trash, and pack out any items that you brought in.
No food or drink is permitted in the lab at any time. Absolutely NO alcohol, tobacco or other drugs are permitted in the labs. Anyone suspected to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be asked to leave and possibly lose their Lab privileges.
The viewing of pornographic or other sexually explicit materials in the lab is not permitted at all, and the violators shall be asked to leave and reported to proper authorities.
